PRAGUE AIRPORT

AirplaneOn account of its exceptional locality in the heart of Europe, Prague Airport is becoming increasingly important as a transit hub. Long-term growth has been fuelled by the Czech Republic's accession to the European Union in 2004 and its consecutive admission to the Schengen area. Since the end of March 2008, the handling of passengers and baggage destined for Schengen countries has been freed from customs and passport control. Czech Airlines with almost half of the market share has been the largest carrier active at the airport.
